Concept Development

Tessellation

Tessellation is the continued repetition of a geometric figure with no space in between.

This project is an experiment using the principle of tessellation in typography. The word “HOPE’ is tessellated here in an abstract manner.

Options

These are some of the options that were generated after the concept and design direction were finalized. Creating diverse styles for conveying ideas aids in the efficient presentation of the artwork.

Final

A single ray of light has the ability to shatter the darkness. Hope shines brightly in front of us, all we have to do now is open our eyes and walk towards it. This typographic poster creates a visual illusion by abstracting the word "hope" into a flame.

The illusion was created using the tessellation principle.

Thank you!
